TRIBE

TRIBE is a work that narrates the spectrum of stories of the homeless in Miami through images and a physical/movement language based on the gestures and lives of community members that find themselves in a situation of homelessness and a lack of protection; stories that do not discriminate based on race, gender identity and expression, nationality, religion and sexual orientation. “TRIBE” is an homage to these people’s lives. The work turns their stories into art, into something powerful and beautiful, a reflection on compassion and the need to turn our community into a more humane space concerned its most powerless members: a work that draws out the individual within the collective in a search for common ground.
