Just back from the fascinating Film / Dance Conference held in CapeTown, South Africa, hosted by Gordon Institute (GIPCA), as instigated by the very young, but capable Dominique Jossie. Still digesting the experience of spreading the word on dance on camera in a country where dance and dance on camera could be more comfortable than the written word.

I presented my work-in-progress 100 Years of Dance on Camera, and a clip program from the various African videos that have been presented at Dance Films Association's Dance on Camera Festival. The 100 Years program definitely has potential for its sweeping, chronological look at independent and commercial dance films, each one chosen for its innovation at the time.

Would love to include a vintage video from South America in this 100 year salute. What would that be? Any suggestions?
