"Assemblage" is a journey of initiation that makes performers face again and again an old and feared rival: the image of themselves.
In these meetings and the continued attempts of construction and destruction of their self-images that remain humorously unresolved, we face a number of questions, which
far from pretending to be answered, seduce us as an abyss and lead us to dizzying chasms:
Do I know my image better than anyone who looks at me from outside? How these images relate to words
and the other way round? Where do they come from the images that come into my head? How important is the imaginary of the body to produce movement ?.....
"Assemblage" is a reflection about the imagination and one of its possible embodiments: the visual image. But it also raises a problem, similar to the one about the chicken or the egg ..... which comes first: the visual or the verbal expression?
