Looking for 2 female dancers with:
Strong Technique Individual Presence Background in Theater a plus Artists with strong classical, modern and/or contemporary dance training are encouraged to apply. New York performance with the potential for a long-term commitment. Rehearsals begin Sept. 1st for October/ November performances (paid). AUDITION DETAILS Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Peridance Capezio Center New York RESERVATION REQUIRED To request a reservation, e-mail current headshot, resume, and reel (if available) to: anabellalenzu@hotmail.com by August 12th. Selected dancers will be contacted to attend audition on August 19th. Organization Background: Anabella Lenzu/DanceDrama is thought provoking and historically conscious dance-theater company established in 2006, presenting the work of Argentinean-Italian choreographer Anabella Lenzu. With the objective of developing a cultural, educational and artistic exchange between the United States, Argentina & Italy, AL/DD explores themes of collective memory, individual identity, and social awareness. The repertory is an uncommon blend of modern dance, theater, ballet and ethnographic folk traditions. Lenzu crosses sociopolitical and cultural barriers, promoting dance and art education through teaching and performing.
